The 997.2 GT3 RS uses the legendary Mezger flat-six, delivering 450 horsepower at 8,500 rpm through a precise 6-speed manual transmission derived from Porsche's Le Mans racing program. This engine is considered bulletproof by enthusiasts and was the last naturally aspirated, motorsport-derived flat-six used in a 911 GT3 RS.
During the 2010–2011 production years, only approximately 1,600 units were produced worldwide, with just 202 examples believed to have reached the U.S. market in this Grey Black / Guards Red specification.
