What you are looking at is the reason why the BMW E30 M3 exists. After purchasing this vehicle it is mandatory you to apply for the vanity tag "DOG LEG" immediately as this is one of the greatest sports cars ever made.

This car is one of the most significant pieces in Mercedes racing history with 42 DTM wins.

This generation of 190E was used to inaugurate the Nurburgring Grand Prix circuit in 1984 and was driven by legends in the motorsport world. This is the car that helped place Ayrton Senna on the map as he beat champions with this car during its inaugural race. The Cosworth developed engine also helped Mercedes beat international records, averaging 150 miles per hour during a grueling 50,000 kilometer consistent test around the legendary Nardo ring, needing nothing else but tire changes, refuels, and oil replacements in the pit lanes overseen and regulated by the FIA.

This car is a 1986 190E 2.3-16v. A 2.3 liter inline 4 developed by Cosworth for Mercedes to enter DTM racing back in the day mated to a Getrag 5 speed dog-leg gearbox which, funny enough, is the same as the one in euro E30 M3's.

For the price point where any of these cars are at, it is highly arguable that this car is bound to skyrocket the same as its competitor, the M3, did. This makes it a phenomenal investment and an incredible value as well.

This particular example is a Euro spec 190E that was sold new in Japan and was brought over by an avid enthusiast. Since its arrival in the US, the car has been serviced by one of the best Mercedes specialists in the nation, Pierre Hedary.

With his expertise, the car received $5000 in services.

This covered: valve adjustment, serpentine belt replacement, cooling system refresh including thermostat, plug wires, A/C services, new front bump stops, front struts, strut bellows, strut mounts, and ball joints. window relays, rear suspension hydraulic linkage and SLS servicing, brake fluid sensor caps, new vacuum connectors, speaker repairs, NOS A pillar covers, new jack points, battery, airbox clamps, P/S hoses, and radiator hose clamps.

The car is an exceptional drivers car with no mechanical issues or faults, cold AC, period correct head unit with AUX and it drives and handles better than most cars of this age.

It currently has 84000 miles, has signs of being driven and has had some paint touch ups around the quarter panels, yet still retains mostly original paint that has been preserved by doing a paint correction and treatment with ceramic coating as well.

This example also has the original owners manuals in Japanese, the importation documents and invoices for services done to the car when it was in Japan as well. The car comes with a period correct Momo steering wheel and hub adapter, some original parts that were replaced, and one key.

Take it from us, for this price you will not find something this spirited, this historically valuable, and this much fun.
